GENERAL TIPS

FOR YOU:

  1. Don’t forget about your HoneyBook portal! You can login here.

HoneyBook is a great resource. Your portal contains all email communication, Day of Coordinator, important documentation, payment plan and contract—all in one space. No need to dig through your email for different documents that we’ve sent you along the way!

  2. It is helpful to have a designated driver for your grandparents to transport them around the property for photos, ceremony and reception. Our past couples have had a fun uncle/aunt in charge of this task.

  3. We recommend having someone designated to grab all cards/gifts after the ceremony and transport them to a vehicle (one less thing you have to do at the end of the night—yay!). This keeps them secure throughout the evening.

    • That person could also be in charge of grabbing last minute items from the Bridal Cottage and Granary before it closes at 7pm.

  4. For your convenience, you can load all your large boxes, décor items and florals on the southwest side of the reception barn at the end of the night. Reminder: our dumpster cannot accommodate large amazon, cake, floral and/or décor boxes. These must be taken with you.

  5. Outdoor ceremony/Wedding Pasture tips:

    • Remember there is no electricity in the wedding pasture. Make sure all décor and florals are taken down before sundown as that space gets really dark at the end of the night.

    • It’s a great idea to have a designated vehicle (parked in vendor parking) that can drive the bridal party to the outdoor ceremony/Wedding Pasture site a couple minutes before ceremony start time.

    • Remind your parking attendants to mention that we have an additional parking lot that is adjacent to the Wedding Pasture, so your grandma and/or your best friend in heels does not need to make the trek from the main parking lot. You can also highlight this on your wedding website and/or wedding invitations.

FOR YOUR WEDDING GUESTS:

 SMOKING

Smoking is ONLY allowed by the bonfire pit on the concrete patio marked “designated smoking area.”

WEATHER

Yep, it could rain on their wedding day. Come prepared for anything: umbrella, light coat, comfortable shoes, etc.. Minnesota can surprise us with it’s weather, although, our Reception Barn is heated and cooled it is designed for mild temperatures. We spray professionally for mosquitos but it wouldn’t hurt to bring some bug spray if you need it (and/or sunscreen). We are an outdoor venue, and we love when wedding guests enjoy the lawn games and fruit grove.

 CHILDREN

We love them (and we have them)! Children will need to be supervised at all times. No climbing on the rocks, landscaped areas and buildings.

 PARKING

We have a large parking lot  behind the reception barn, on the north end of the property. We have an additional parking lot adjacent to the outdoor ceremony wedding pasture (if applicable). No driving on the grass anywhere else on the farm. Handicap parking and restrooms are labeled on the map.
