Biggest trends for 2019
This year’s biggest trends for 2019 along with some out-of-the-box ideas:
Weddings are becoming much more personalized and natural to intimately reflect the vibe and style of each couple. The “rules” are out! What is in? Creating an atmosphere that has your unique fingerprint on it. Everything from mismatched bridesmaid dresses and statement bridal hats to interactive food stations and edible wedding displays or party favors (think artisan olive oils, special spice blends or coffee beans, to name a few).
Bright color pallets put a fun twist on traditional weddings for couples that want to be a bit more daring. Introducing new color combinations or pops of bright hues in décor, flowers and attire can be fresh, bold, and unexpected.
Using organic, earthy plants has become an on-point trend option for tablescapes including Pampas grass, wheat, leafy green plants, moss and succulents.
Even the groom and his guys are getting in on the fun this year- mixing and matching different fabric and prints.
Velvet linens will be everywhere to create texture and warmth to each table. Copper will be a popular metallic accent (think chargers, flatware and sphere centerpieces) which is on trend with Pantone color of the year “Living Coral”. Watch for it to show up on the scene starting this spring and into summer/early fall in everything from weddingwear to floral and décor.
Some non-traditional ceremony ideas to consider:
· Bride and Groom walking down the aisle together
· Guests standing during the ceremony to make it feel inclusive
· Co-ed couples represented on each side of the bride and groom
